Food for thought

i think food tastes better when your eating with other people. Seriously. I had breakfast a couple of weeks ago at one of my most favorite breakfasts places, and it wasn't as good. I had my favorite thing at my favorite breakfast place and it was okay.

THEN, last week, i had breakfast at the same place with a friend and whoa and behold! IT WAS PHENOMENOL! Which brings really about, two conclusions...

1. Food tastes better when with others...
or
2. The chef prepared the food better this time around.

I will have to go with choice number one, because every other time i've eaten there and i found the food amazing; it was with other people. Therefore choice number one is the correct choice. : )

and in other news...HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!!! and try not to eat any babies please (i.e., dandruffy) no matter how they look. Its just not cool. Not cool at all.

3 - 2 -1 CONTACT!

Got contacts! Took me forever to get them again, forgot what it was like to see kind of twenty twenty again.

Lifes been really good. I'm actually feeling like my old self again, and i don't know if thats a good thing. Cuz, my old self really relied on the whole premise of things will always work out and don't, cuz things will work out. In other words, i just sit there, and wait for the things to happen to me rather than making things happen.

Yesterday night was incredible. A little u of i reunion in china town. All of us that were there haven't been all together since graduating. To be honest, its been years!? or so!

It was good times. Then martin, amit and i went out and again - good times. In the mean time i've also remembered what happens when we all get together too. When prankful opportunity to send e-mail from someone's account, we tend to take full advantage.

It was kind of funny, I came out of the bathroom and they were kind of quiet, pretending to be "watching tv", and I exclaimed, OH MY GOD - cuz i knew things just weren't right in denmark- and i rushed to my computer, cuz i knew i left it open, didn't see any sent mail at the time. But as this morning shows, and the interesting responses i'm getting...karma is getting back at me : )

I think i'm going to keep pretending i don't know what they did, and refuse to admit i've gotten some interesting e-mails, that itself will even get them to admit to it. You can't out play the man who invented pranks themselves :)

Pictures....

You know, a few years ago, i would have totally minded. Now, i don't even mind. Its kind of funny, i keep thinking of something V always say. We'll be talking about something that might suck or something, and then he always says, "whatch ya gonna do?" Basically - he means - you can't really change it, just deal with it, and move on. I think thats quite apt in this situation.

p.s. i think as far as blogs go, this gets the "most cryptic award" : ) But hey, i could always be looking at things the wrong way too and maybe nothing was meant by anything. And maybe, if i keep saying that, i might even believe it too. Oh well, watch ya gonna do. : )

boston...

In boston, and am chilling at this cafe with internet access. I'm kind of kicking myself for not bringing my battery pack. I'm hoping that i will not need this thing later. Am having fun, actually my friend's sister is out here, and she met up at this cafe.

This cafe is awesome. I should take a picture. The windows are soooo big that it makes you feel like your kind of outside. Very conducive to writing.

So i'm trying to finish my first creative writing assignment in years. Its going okay. I never really realized how difficult it is to write. Dialogue is killing me. The story is sooo choppy. Whats really difficult is that you have something in your head that makes sense, but if not specific enough, something else could be interpreted. OH well.

In other news, i got a call from this union guy. He's actually the founder of the walgreens union, and he's trying to save it. He's actually talking to me about being a union rep. Kind of cool, but man, if i took it, walgreens would definitely start getting on me. But, i like unions in that they in theory should be able to find that happy balance between the corporate world and workers so called rights : )

Barcelona!

Barcelona was amazing! Had a great time. The culture there is sooo laid back. Tapas during the day, take a nap in the evening or something and party forever. We went to this one place at midnight, and THEY TOLD US THEY DON'T OPEN TILL 12:30am! we were like..."wow"!

Also puked in the mediterranean, how many of you can say that! Saw a monastary in the mountatins, as well as a medieval village (with real medieval people!) Some people will never get with the millinium, but what are you going to do.

:)

Flight back wasn't too bad, lay over in england for 10 hours and i just ran around in cab for fourty minutes or so and had a crash course at the sites of england : )

It was kind of funny, on our way back from barcelona to england this guy said to me " you know, its racist in china, but i'm sure your use to that being a black man in america" I didn't have the heart to tell him otherwise :) we were bonding.
