Futon, a derivative of sultan?

JUST GOT A FUTON! Was helping a friend move, and they didn't want it. It actually looks like this. But I got a black futon cover for it. Did you know that Futon covers are like a giant sleeping bag? Yeah, it has a zipper, and you put the futon mattress in the cover, then you zip it. I kept feeling like i was stuffing a giant pillow case.

Not to brag or anything, but i put it together...by myself. Let me say it again, i put it together alllllllllllllll by myself. I thought it was going to take forever...but it didn't. I was quite impressed with myself. It looked pretty intimidating, plus i had no idea what this thing looked like. : )

AND, on sunday, played halo at chris's. It was brad and I versus gene and braj...and guess who won...BRAD AND I! I know this might not sound like a big deal, but i had 50 kills! brad never played before, but we strategized...and we beat them, 49-50. Probably one of the greatest displays of Halo II ever seen. It was sooo incredible that we were wondering if it was going to be on espn or not...(BUT THEN THAT BRYANT F_CK_R had to go ruin it by scoring 81!)

Also won at poker, that was fun, learned quite a bit of the strategy involved with the game. It was fun though. IT was down to braj and i. I actually didn't even realize i won a few hands, but braj would let me know when i did, even when it was against him, got to give him props for that, especially considering money was on the line.

WELL, started back at work yesterday at 10pm. Kind of grueling, went by fast, even without my psp. But then again, had alot to do.

OH, did i mention i put together a futon! I think i did, but now, i just want to brag : )

4 of 9

I'm on day four of 9 days off : )

Yup, i'm happy. I like being lazy, even though i haven't. I've been taking care of thulsi (our dog ) and its alot of work!

I would never think it would be, but it is. Who would have thought? You have to feed her every day, and take her out. SO, you have to round your day out around those two constants. She's awesome though,

I just got her a new doll, yup, she killed again within 24 hours, but she was sooo hilarious. She would try to wake me up last night by bringing her new doll to me, and try to chase her, while i'm sleeping.

And now this morning, the doll is dead. I basically had to take the stuffing out and give it back to her, but its like, she should at least let it last for a week.

Well, i should be back in chicago wed. night, or thursday. Most likely thursday. I think i'll be going to the art institute, haven't been there for awhile. I'll probably just take public trans.

RD : )

California...and perspectives.....

I'm going to keep this one short, it was an A+ in meeting bobby and neelam, but as far as...seeing cali.....probably a D : (

It was neat though going through the mountain pass and seeing people put chains on their tires! I always thought that was a myth.

SO, i just got back from work, and i'm tired. So, i run into Yuri, he's a 63 y/o russian and is the ground keeper for our complex. Very nice guy. I've chatted with him a few times. SO, i mention to him how i just came from work, and i'm tired.

THIS, guy worked 7 jobs when he came to this country and proceeded to tell me the work in russia. And how they used holes in the ground as their refrigerator. How people there tried to find work, and when they did...they worked 7 days a week. No benefits whatsoever.

Result...?

i felt better and more appreciative (not like i'm not) of having the ability to work.....

On a side note...i think people value honor/integrity/trust/honesty soooooo much, because its so easy not to do. I'm also thinking (this is kind of negative) maybe people value such things, because its not as common as we like to think. Every time i look at the news paper, and so forth...kind of sad/depressing, but maybe its more reason we should be more honorable...but man....when others don't reciprocate...its kind of hard to keep on truckin......and continuing.....

oh well.
