California...and perspectives.....
I'm going to keep this one short, it was an A+ in meeting bobby and neelam, but as far as...seeing cali.....probably a D : (
It was neat though going through the mountain pass and seeing people put chains on their tires! I always thought that was a myth.
SO, i just got back from work, and i'm tired. So, i run into Yuri, he's a 63 y/o russian and is the ground keeper for our complex. Very nice guy. I've chatted with him a few times. SO, i mention to him how i just came from work, and i'm tired.
THIS, guy worked 7 jobs when he came to this country and proceeded to tell me the work in russia. And how they used holes in the ground as their refrigerator. How people there tried to find work, and when they did...they worked 7 days a week. No benefits whatsoever.
Result...?
i felt better and more appreciative (not like i'm not) of having the ability to work.....
On a side note...i think people value honor/integrity/trust/honesty soooooo much, because its so easy not to do. I'm also thinking (this is kind of negative) maybe people value such things, because its not as common as we like to think. Every time i look at the news paper, and so forth...kind of sad/depressing, but maybe its more reason we should be more honorable...but man....when others don't reciprocate...its kind of hard to keep on truckin......and continuing.....
oh well.
