The big 3 - 0

Usually, having a count of 3 - 0, would be incredible. In a seven game game series, your on the verge of winning. In baseball, its a hitters count. But in a place known as reality...its, getting old.

I was pretty bummed at first about most. You tend to - or at least I- kind of took a step back and looked at where things stand. Kind of like taking an inventory on life. And you know what? I can't complain, but only say thanks.

My twenties were a blast. I had made some really wonderful and life long friends, as well as some new ones. Spent most of it in school, but how can one ever complain of borrowing someone else's notes ;)

And seriously, my brother made this observation, things are alot better. I am doing more of the things i want to do now, then ever. In this past year alone, i've experienced and been to more places than i have in my whole life. If this year alone is a sampling of things to come, then i can only look forward to things.

This past week has also been exceptional in that i've had alot of good wishes from people. Some i've haven't heard from in along time. You know, you don't really want to think that a simple phone call or e-mail of "happy bday" would be a big deal, but at least for me...i can't help but be warmed by it. :)

Anyways, i'll stick to the comment of my sister-in-law, and just stick with, "Haven't you heard, 30s are the new twenties!" Well, I certainly hope so. :)

RD :)
